My name is George Muyskens, and although I wasn’t born in Muskegon County, Michigan, it became home when my family moved here during my teenage years. Those formative years shaped my connection to this community and created an appreciation for the people, work ethic, and lifestyle that make Muskegon County unique.
In my mid-to-late twenties, I made the decision to join the United States Air Force, an experience that allowed me to serve our country while gaining perspective beyond Michigan. While stationed in California, I met my wife, and together we began building our family. After getting married and welcoming our two children, we knew that when my military service concluded in 2022, returning to Muskegon County was the right choice for our future.
Coming back home was intentional. I wanted my wife and children to experience the same sense of community and quality of life that drew me here years earlier – hardworking local businesses, supportive neighborhoods, and the opportunity to grow up near Lake Michigan. Time spent away only deepened my appreciation for Muskegon County. The winters test us, but they make the summers unforgettable, and having the shoreline just minutes away is something many people outside the Great Lakes region never experience.
Muyskens Group LLC was founded from that appreciation and a desire to invest back into the community that helped shape our family’s path. Our mission is to support Muskegon County businesses by providing modern solutions while contributing to local growth and long-term relationships within the community.
